THE CASE FOR NOT COMPLETING TASKS ✨ DAILY SPARK

The insatiable need to chase after so called productivity is one of the greatest wastes of our time. Not because there is anything wrong with wanting to be more productive, but because productivity seems to be synonymous for cramming as many actions into as little time as possible. That’s not what productivity is about!

The being active definition of productivity dates back to the 1st Industrial Revolution, when productivity was linked to physical labor. This definition may work for repetitive tasks like admin related actions, but not to come up with strategic breakthroughs or to do creative problem solving.

The more effective question is: what do you need to achieve, and what level of activity fits that goal?

SPARK OF THE DAY

Productivity should be about optimising one’s time, and sometimes the most optimal use of time is to waste it… even procrastinating can be very time effective, as some tasks might just disappear off the radar 🙃

Some entrepreneurs fear that non-action in the moment might mean loosing out on opportunities, and yes, to be fair, that will happen. At the same time: you’re an entrepreneur! New opportunities always come to you anyway!

Wasting time = Creating clarity of mind = Creating space to see opportunities = Feeling “in the zone” = Having more energy to make things happen…

You don’t have to finish everything now! Tomorrow is another day!

I wish you a relaxing start of your week ✨
