DAILY SPARK ✨

Variation on Paul Graham’s Startup Curve by Daniel Chiu

Growth can come in many shapes and sizes. Most entrepreneurs relate growth mostly to increase in number of customers, products sold, revenue earned. But growth can also mean personal growth as an entrepreneur.

Most of us are familiar with the startup curve and with it “the trough of sorrow”. Covid-19 has made quite a few entrepreneurs go from “it can’t get any worse than this” to “oh! I guess it can!”.

I have noticed that many tend to take failure personally, and instead of looking for

a way out, they give up all-together. Instead of taking the learnings and continue to move forward, they get with the next best idea and try to challenge the curve from scratch again, never getting beyond the stage of repeated failure.

SPARK OF THE DAY

There are many reasons why things don’t work out as we expected them to, but don’t honor your failures by giving up too soon. Instead, take the learnings with stride, grow from the experience and know that any step forward always takes you closer to your goal!

Failure does not need to be the end, it can also be the means to get to success…

I wish you an inspired rest of your day,

Liesbeth
